It is our desire to promote the American Shire in all ways possible, and to also familiarize the public in bringing to their attention the fact that the Shire Horse remains on the
2009 Watchlist - Category 4 - "At Risk of Endangerment"
a leading conservation charity
working to restore Britain's native livestock.
is focused on the very rare Cleveland Bay, which remains
on the 2009 Watchlist - Category 1 "Critical"
as reported by the same above-referenced Trust.
The Johnson Family, owners of Peters Creek Farm, supported by Jessie, share the desire to populate the Cleveland Bay Horse breed increasing the reported 500 left in existence worldwide.
Proudly, in 2008, Peters Creek Farm was home to
five purebred foundation Cleveland Bay mares,
three purebred Cleveland Bay stud colts and
six Cleveland Bay crosses.
We are honored to be a supporting part of
the Johnson's revitalization effort, and thank them in
allowing us the opportunity to further our endeavors
in owning and producing some of the finest
Shires in the United States.
