Pippy's First Day Under Saddle
In 2006, we fell in love with our first horse, Pip, a lovely Thoroughbred x Shire yearling, and grand-daughter of one of the oldest living Shire stallions in the world, Cowerslane Nomination, a.k.a. "Govy".
Pippy - September 2007 Govy sired perhaps the most accomplished dressage Shire in the US, TH King Arthur. Govy's temperament passed down through her sire, TH Commander, and crossed with the finesse of Pip's Jockey Club dam, Part Princess, gifts us with an athletic, honest, wonderfully tempered, intelligent and brave horse.
Calm & Quiet First Harnessing
Pippy continues in training, has become a school horse for Jessie's Riding Program at Peters Creek Farm, and will be showing again this year in local English shows.
We have high expectations because of her calm, intelligent demeanor, to progress on in driving events held off the farm in 2009.
